The short version: we collect what you send us and basic site analytics, use it to answer you and run our service, never sell it, and delete it when you ask.

1. Who we are

The No Vacancy Co. is a trade name of Zio Advertising Inc., a British Columbia corporation. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Zio Advertising Inc. doing business as The No Vacancy Co. Our office is at 515 Francis Ave #6, Kelowna, BC V1Y 5G4, Canada. We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

2. What we collect

We collect only what we need to answer you and run our service:

  • What you type into our forms: your name, email, phone number, property name and website, property details such as room count or booking volume, and anything you write in the message field.
  • Emails you send us at [email protected] or any other address on our domain.
  • Website usage data: pages viewed, the site that sent you, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, collected through cookies and Google Analytics.
  • Basic technical data: IP address and request logs kept by our hosting and security providers to keep the site running and block abuse.

The savings calculator runs in your browser. The numbers you enter are not sent to us unless you also submit a form.

3. How we use it

  • To reply to your inquiry or application and book a call.
  • To judge whether our service is a fit for your property.
  • To follow up about your inquiry. We do not add you to a newsletter unless you ask.
  • To understand which pages are useful and improve the site.
  • To keep the site secure and filter out spam.
  • To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

4. Client data from paid engagements

When a property signs on with us, we receive data needed to run the service and bill it, such as a booking engine export and read access to ad accounts. That data is covered by the written client agreement, used only to run campaigns and calculate invoices, and never sold or shared with another client. Guest records in those exports belong to the property. We act on the property’s behalf when handling them.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 to measure visits and form submissions. These tools set cookies in your browser. Google’s use of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The site still works without them.

6. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business, under their own confidentiality and security terms:

  • Website hosting (Hostinger) and security and email routing (Cloudflare).
  • Our form processing and lead database (Cloudflare Workers and Supabase).
  • Analytics and email (Google).
  • Accounting and payment providers, for paying clients only.

Some of these providers store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law. We may also disclose information if required by law.

7. How long we keep it

We keep inquiry and application records for as long as they are useful to follow up, and no longer than three years after our last contact unless you become a client. Client records are kept for the length of the engagement plus the period Canadian tax law requires, currently six years. You can ask us to delete your inquiry at any time.

8. How we protect it

Forms are sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Our lead database is private and not reachable from the public website, and access to our systems is limited to the people who need it. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share.

9. Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy.
  • Correct anything that is wrong.
  • Delete your information, where we are not required by law to keep it.
  • Stop contacting you. Every follow-up email lets you opt out.

Email [email protected] with your request. We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

10. Children

This site is for business owners and operators. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 19.

11. Changes and contact

We will update this page if our practices change, and the date at the top will change with it. Questions about privacy go to our privacy contact, Giuseppe Gaspari:
